Vertical Ice

Climbers do not quit climbing come winter, they switch gear and look for a frozen waterfall. This climber is climbing in Heart Creek canyon, just to the east of Canmore, Alberta. The canyon is worth the visit(summer or winter) with the reward being a waterfall, spilling over a cliff, aprox 2km from the trailhead. Very easy walk for familys with small children. Bring a sleigh in the winter. The parking lot is located at Lac Des Arc, on the Trans Canada Highway west of Calgary.
