Lake McArthur

This photo shows our group(Rolly in the center) making our way along the Odaray Grandview Alpine Route which connects to the Odaray Highline Trail, with our destination being Lake McArthur , the lake in the distance. We are making our way down from the Odaray Grandview Ridge in the photo following this one. Lake McArthur is a large astonishingly blue lake, glacier backdrop, small wildlife including marmots and meadows. It is named for James J. McArthur, a surveyor who is credited with the discovery of both this lake and Lake O'Hara in 1887.
