Legends

Chief Mountain. It is said that this mountain is home to spirits and powerful medicine. This mountain was used by Aboriginal peoples and early explorers as landmarks. It stands in the prairies of southwestern Alberta away from the rest of the mountains like a warrior chief leading his tribe to the rising sun.
