Day's End

I found myself crawling around in the snow, along the banks of the Bow River ( Archives Dec/05 Starlight ) this past weekend. I was trying to get a shot of a pair of Black billed Magpies, who were busy constructing a nest. I ended up staying till sundown, when I took this photo as the sun settled on the horizon. Winter is still hanging on in Alberta.
