Lake O'Hara

There is no place in the Canadian Rockies which boasts so many scenic trails in one area. With over 80 Km of trails to choose from, the hiker is faced with a happy delemma. Access is via the Trans-Canada Highway onto 1A highway 2.7 Km west of the Alberta- British Columbia border. From the parking lot, you have 3 options walk or ski ( depending on the season ) the fire road, or ride in the Lodge bus. If you are not a Lodge guest you must make a reservation to ride in the lodge bus. This photo shows the cabins on the shoreline. The Lodge itself is not shown in this photo. I will not post any more photos of Lake O'Hara for a while as not to bore you to death.
