Dawn Patrol
I had been making my way down the Forestry Trunk Road southwest of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta sampling the fishing along the way. I stopped at one of my favorite lakes in the area for the night . I wanted to try my luck on Brookies in the morning, before trying my luck on the Upper Ram River near by. Dawn found me in my Belly Boat with fly rod and camera. As these two fisherman made their way past me, I put down my fly rod to shoot this photo. Early morning on most lakes along the Eastern Slope of the Rockies, you experience this early morning mist that hangs just over the lake surface. For me it is a magical time of day.
