In Transition
At one time or another I have mentioned how Larch trees atract thousands of hikers to the high country in the fall, when the needles on the Larch trees (Achives March/06 Big Larchs) turn gold before they fall off. This photo shows that transition . We were making our way from Lake O'Hara to Lake Oesa in this photo.I shot this photo near a series of small ponds formed by the stream that drains Lake Oesa. The photo shows that we caught the change underway from green to gold.
