Seedhead


Actually the common lawn-variety dandelion is quite pretty when viewed close up through a camera lens and not growing in my lawn. Of course the photo I shot of this Dandelion shows it not as a large brilliant yellow bloom but as a fluffy seedhead that at any moment will blow away in the wind. If you expand the photo, you can see at the top of the seedhead a number of tiny seeds pulling free with what looks like tiny attached parachutes waiting for the wind to carry it to someones lawn.

PS. This Dandelion is not growing in my lawn.
