Stormwatch

We had another of those days with the three basic ingredients to form a thunderstorm. The humidity was high. The air several miles up was very cold and when the moist air was forced up by air currents from our close proximity to the mountains, it formed the cumulus clouds in this photo I shot through the windshield of my truck, while waiting to turn at a light last night. Several funnel clouds were spotted in the vicinity of Calgary, allthough they did not touch the ground. If conditions are favourable for thunderstorms today, I will be out on the backroads of Alberta stormchasing.
