The soil in Alberta is very good for growing crops like oats, canola ad barley.-However the main crop is wheat as seen beening harvested in these photos that I shot today on a farm southeast of Calgary. I'll bet you didn't know that Alberta is the second largest producer of wheat in Canada. Who is number one you ask?-Why that would be our neighbour to the east. Saskatchewan. Darn.
