Harvest Moon-Not
With cameras in hand along with charged batteries and extra memory cards, I hit the ground running last night in anticipation of a Harvest Moon set to rise just after sunset. But, alas it was not to happen last night as the horizon was obscured in clouds. So I had to go home with photos of the setting sun as it set in a clear but somewhat smoke filled sky. Funny, I did not notice till I sat in my truck checking out some of my captures that you can see that most elusive of marsh birds "The American Bittern" standing on a boulder in the middle of this slough by the airport. We will give it a go again this evening.
