This old house made me think of a book that I read recently with the tittle "Old Dark House". This old house will not qualify as it is much to small to have secret corridors, hidden panels, spirel staircases and hooded killers, who usually go after overnight guests whose car has broken down during a rainstorm.
The best words of advice that I can give you is this. " Stay away from old houses with names".
