The Fog

I don't believe that there is a photographer, who does not enjoy the mystery of a foggy morning. Do not miss the opportunity to photograph a misty landscape. I find that the landscape resembles an impressionistic painting. In this photo, I believe that the image of a bare tree silhouetted makes the photo work. So remember, if the fog is especially heavy look for distinct shapes that will stand out. Also watch your metering in fog. Cameras tend to read the overall scene as bright. If you are not sure, bracket your shots to get a true representation of the scene. Of course today we have that great advantage over film cameras, Instant-editing. I love it.
