Inglewood

This reflection will not be possible much longer, as the ice in the lower part of the photo threatens to take over my easel. This brick house sits in the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and originally was built in 1910 by Colonel James Walker, one of the original commissioned officers in the North West Mounted Police. Colonel Walker named this brick house "Inglewood" and the surrounding area soon became known as Inglewood. Today the area of Inglewood has become very trendy and a very desirable neighborhood to live in. I suspect these Mallard Ducks are concerned that the lagoon appears to be getting smaller due to the ice.
