Over the years That I have trekked up and down the various mountain trails of Southern Alberta, I have always had a fascination with the Rocky Mountain Bighorn. Alberta is world renowned for its World Class Bighorn sheep such as the two rams in my photo's. If you look close, you will notice that these two rams have broomed off the lamb tips on their horns. Bighorn Sheep do this because the lamb tips impede their vision. That said, this heavy horned old ram would still be considered the finest of trophy's. Rocky Mountain Bighorn migrate between high mountain slopes such as in the lower photo and foothill slopes in the winter,where I found these two. That snow keeps getting closer. Brrr.....
