Smith Dorren Ram

I find in my wanderings, that I end up in Kananaskis Country fairly often. With the drop dead scenery, it's a no brainer. I was working my way down the Smith Dorren highway south of Canmore on the week-end, when I pulled over as this scene unfolded before me. The sun was trying to break through a thin layer of clouds, laced with light snow. I fired off a couple of quick shots, of this ridge, as I had noticed 3 Bighorn Rams standing very close to the road just ahead. I made my way towards them, keeping my fingers crossed that they would not spook, before I could get in a shot or two of them. I managed to get close enough to get a shot of one of the rams, as they headed off into the trees. Of course, the big one with a full curl got away. All in all it was another good day in K Country.
