Elizabeth Parker Hut
Lake O'Hara's first permanent building Known as the Wiwaxy Hut, was erected by 1913 in the Alpine Meadows. Later the huts were moved to the lake, the present location of the Lake O'Hara Lodge ( aprox a 1/4 mile distance ). The huts at the Alpine Meadows, became the property of the Alpine Club of Canada. The cabins are named after Elizabeth Parker , the founding member of the Alpine Club of Canada. This cabin is one of the two ( Archives Dec/05 Elizabeth parker Hut) situated in the Alpine Meadows today. You may reserve sleeping accommodations in these cabins during the summer season.
