Wiwaxy Gap

Rolly is taking in the surrounding views of which there are many, as I shoot photos from our high vantage point overlooking Lake Oesa just below and to Rollys left. We had just come off of the Wiwaxy Gap Alpine Route and stoped for a lunch break before continuing. We had started this hike from the Lake O'Hara Lodge ( expand photo, you can see the lodge on the lake ) just visible in the gap. On this day we would be pushing forward shortly, as we still had Yukness Ledge then Opabin Plateau and back to Lake O'Hara in time to catch the lodge bus down to our vehicle parked at highway #1. That is Mount Odaray in the distance where Grandview Ridge ( Archives Dec/05 Odaray Grandview Ridge ) where we stood on a different day..
